At New Life, we believe church should be a place where the entire family can come worship God, learn about the Bible, feel comfortable, and have a good time. So, we have designed our services with your family in mind.
Here at New Life we'll try to make sure the first thing you see when you walk through the doors is a smiling face ready to assist you and your family in whatever needs you may have.
If it’s been a long time since you’ve been to church OR if you’ve never been to a church before, New Life wants you to relax! We hope that getting some of your questions out of the way not only encourages you to join us for church, but also helps you to connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you.
The number one reason our visitors choose to make New Life Christian Fellowship their home is because of the connection they feel from our church family. We have an amazing closeness between our congregation that makes everyone feel loved and accepted. Another exceptional difference people find in us is our passion to become more like Christ. We want to live and love the way Jesus did, so we are always striving to reach others for Him, including our visitors!
New Life stands firmly behind our Statement of Faith. We believe:
-the bible to be the inspired, God-breathed, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, it its original writings and taken in context.
-that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory to receive His Church and set up His Kingdom.
-that, for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit, through a personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, is absolutely essential.
-in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit; by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
-in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life with God and they that are lost unto resurrection of eternal damnation.
-in the Spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ to accomplish God's redemptive purpose for all mankind.
We are a Church of the Brethren congregation. To learn more about our denomination, please visit the Church of the Brethren’s website at www.brethren.org.
Currently, we offer two different services at our church on Sunday mornings. Our first “Traditional Service” starts at 9:00 a.m. and our second, “Impact Service” begins at 11:00. We want you to be able to choose the time and style that best suits your schedule and best helps you engage with our Savior.
We like to provide worship services to meet you where you are in your relationship with God.
The Traditional Service at New Life displays the Christian heritage that we’ve inherited from generations past. The service has an orderly structure, complete with all the old hymns performed on the organ and piano. Pastor Merritt Bongard draws on over thirty years of his ministry experience to bring inspiring, relevant, and biblically based messages to the church members.
Our Impact Service has a more contemporary form of worship and preaching. Our impact band provides a passionate, predominantly contemporary, upbeat style of music. We usually blend a classic hymn in the mix too. You will see and hear guitars, percussion, vocalists, and drums, even congas! Our music is all about honoring God and aligning our hearts with His great heart. You’ll see people with their hands up and down, with their eyes open and closed. Some sing loudly while others just hum along! Christ is the center of why we worship – so we sing to Him instead of each other. After worship, our Associate Pastor, Brian Mackie, speaks on topics that are relevant and applicable to your life.
Both services offer individual, unique experiences, so come and learn about our great and wonderful God along with us!
Our first service offers a traditional setting, and while there is a range of styles, you’ll see more men wearing suits and ties, and more women wearing dresses. At our second service, you will find a more casual atmosphere with people wearing whatever is comfortable. It’s not uncommon to find our attendees wearing jeans, sandals, and t-shirts. But overall, no matter which service fits you best, we welcome anyone, no matter their wardrobe!
NO! You will not be asked to stand or publicly identify yourself as a visitor during our worship services. We would, however, appreciate it if you would fill out some information about yourself (name, address, etc) in the attendance pads that are passed down the rows. When you fill in this information, it registers your visit with us for our records. It's also useful so that we can contact you for prayer or to provide you with more information about our church, if you choose to mark that in the boxes provided.
We offer excellent, safe, and fun childcare for all ages of children! For a more detailed look at our childcare options, please check out our “Children” page.
Yes. We offer disabled parking directly in front of our main entrance to make your arrival stress-free. Our greeters are eager to assist you by holding the door or helping you with your things. When you come inside, you’ll notice we have an elevator to take you upstairs to our sanctuary and main offices as well as downstairs to our fellowship area. On our main level, we provide Men’s and Women’s handicap accessible bathrooms to make your visit with us easier.
