Standing in the Gap
College Group

The question often gets asked, “What is Standing in the Gap and what does the group do?” Standing in the Gap is seeing someone honestly seeking answers about Jesus and then watching them turn their life over to Him. Standing in the Gap is a group of friends gathering around another friend who is in desperate need of prayer and praying for them. Standing in the Gap is witnessing people get baptized in frigid lake water on a November morning because they simply must make a public profession of their faith. Standing in the Gap is hanging out with people who you know will remain your closest friends for the rest of your life.

Standing in the Gap is an extension of the ministry of New Life Christian Fellowship to the campus of Central Michigan University. The group meets on Wednesdays during the school year in Pearce 124 to study the bible, reach out to the campus, and have fun with friends. Many fun events are planned throughout the semester and a retreat in the fall and spring with the Saginaw Valley State University chapter of Standing in the Gap highlight the year.

If you need a place to belong, want to make a difference in the life of a campus, or have honest questions about Jesus then come and find out what Standing in the Gap is all about.
